PA-CF warping

Hi Guys very interested to knwo what settings you are using to reduce warping on larger PA-CF prints, particularly with the .6 nozzle.

A great test would be a long narrow oval runing from corner to near corner. I am lucky to have a perfectly flat print bed but on the largest prints I am still getting some warping. Plate adhesoion on the engineering plate is excellent so I must be getting subtle plate pull-up. I have lowered plate temp some, but I am open to any suggestions.

I didn‘t print PA-CF yet on the X1, but on my Vorons I print it with 110C bed temperature to prevent warping.

Let the chamber heat up from the bed before starting printing. Do use a high bed temp, 100 or even 110 as suggested. I always use adhesive (I use Dimafix) with Nylon and even then it sometimes warps.

Oh sure thing, it is essential that you preheat the chamber. Would say for at least 30min. I usually do an hour.
Preheat with bed at desired temperature und hotend at 140C.

That is odd, I am getting more warping with higher bed temps, which is common because cooling and contracting layers above commonly causes warping.

Hotend temps are suggested at ~290C for PA-CF. 140 degrees will not melt it.

Only for preheating purposes - not for actual printing. Never mind. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, I appreciate your reply but I am unsure what you mean.
