PA6-GF Large Print Issue

I have printed a few smaller items with Bambu PA6-GF without any issues. Now I am trying to print a box that takes up most of the build plate on my X1C and am having issues with warping. From what I have read it sounds like maintaining higher temperature during the print is key to reducing the chances of warps. I am using the standard profile for PA6-GF which has the nozzle temp at 265 and bed temp at 100. Any suggestions on how to prevent warping on this print? I am using the glue stick.
Thanks,
Alan

Having recently received a sample spool of Bambu Lab PA6-GF I’ll say this stuff is amazing!

BUT! Under very strict circumstances for the best results…
What’s happening here is the result of a [High Density] infill which the infill is naturally “Shrinking” causing the ends to bow upwards and lift off the plate.

  • Solution
  • You’ll want to increase wall thickness [Walls] Which in return strengthens the model and as an extra layer of assurance, place a 0.1mm [Disk] on the perimeter of the model which helps prevent lift.
  • Also lower the infill percentage and go with “Cubic” you shouldn’t need more than 5-10% with a higher amount of walls

Scale the [Disk] as you see fit but it’s helped quite a bit with any nylon filament I’ve used. The GF does help with less warping/Shrinkage but still has a percentage held within the composition.

Hope this helps and make sure to use a glue for ease of removal afterwards. If all else fails you can also try lowering the elephant foot comp and/or increase the depth on Z comp within the starting G Code.

Happy Printing!

Thank you for replying, I am not sure I understand the 0.1mm disc, I assume that is 0.1mm in thickness? Is the disc to add outer support like a brim? Or is it to create a void? My options seem to be different from what you show, I think Add Part would be the same?
