Paint tree and standard supports on the same part

Hi guys,
I guess this is a fancy wish of a newbie, but hey … why not try.

Support W is a valuable commodity and every filament change costs time. So I would like to tell the slicer to put standard supports with a bed of support W under the base of the model and support an overhang further up with tree support and again a bed of support W.

Is any slicer able to do this? Anyone else ever had the need? How do I let Bambu know?

Easily done. There are two fields, Support Body and Support Interface. These default to Auto, which means use whichever filament is current. What you want is to set the Interface to the Support-W selection, leave Body as Auto.

Sorry Holmes, I haven’t been clear.
I would like to use standard supports and W on the body and tree supports and W for an overhang situated on top of the part. I would like to avoid any support placed on top of the model.

this sounds like you have two separate requests here? … one for the ‘interface’ material - which seems to be addressed.

and one which is painting both normal and tree supports on the same model / slice - which I am also interested in
