Painted file looks like will be an issue in Preview mode

I painted a file with 4 different colors. The building in the red circle was painted all white but when I run the preview, it shows a chunk of brown filament.
I’ve repainted it over and over and still the same result. Any ideas how to fix this? I dont want to print 60% of the model only for this one part to be wrong. Is it just a preview error?

Are you using the Classic or Arachne wall generator?

Perhaps this will explain why this is happening:

Something to consider when painting a large, complex object using multiple colours:

  1. Do you first paint the entire model in the colour most used, and then change the colour of all the other bits?

    OR

  2. Do you first paint the entire model in the colour least used, and then change the colour of all the other bits?

The former is the more intuitive, but if there are many tiny little areas that need painting in a common colour, the second approach may be more efficient as it is easier to change the colour of larger areas.

I hope this is helpful and perhaps thought provoking.

Classic. I switched to Arachne and it resulted in same preview issue.

This file has lots of little “trees”, with a top and 4 sided trunks. Because there are so many trees (and they are all brown tops and trunks), I made the whole object BROWN.
Then, I painted the remainder of the model white, blue, and tan as needed. I did switch the object to white, knowing I would have to paint the trees individually. While this fixed the building, other areas on the model that should be brown had white chunks coming through, like the building issue currently is.

Months ago I had a similar problem. In my case it helped to rotate the z-axis 0.01%.

Yes yes yes YES! Thank you so much - this was the solution. I rotated the Z axis by 0.01. reran the preview and its perfect. Not sure the WHY but this is good to know for the future. Looking forward to printing

Something similar happens to me, i have a problem with flat painted surfaces, instead of the color going thoughout smoothly, the slicer makes a sandwich of 1 correct color layer, two solid incorrect layers followed by 2 correct pattern and color (5 top shell layers), it’s driving me nuts

Hello everyone.
I have been using the X1C for a while now, and I love it.
I have made several items for my small business and I have came across the same issues as noted above.

I tried the Z rotation of .01, and it did not fix my problem, nor did the wall generator… Classic makes it worse.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

hello, same issue. everything was working fine yesterday and now the paint feature will not work. the preview is different than the sliced plate.
