How can I take a 3mm 4 color logo in Bambu Studio and make the colors 2mm and the backing black at 1mm
Your best bet is to upload the .3mf that you’re trying to do this on as it would make it much easier to explain.
Open in BambuStudio, Use the “cut” function w/ the plane 1mm off the print surface (Using a Benchy file for demonstration):
Make sure the “Cut to Parts” option is enabled.
Then go to the “Objects” tab in the Process dialogue, select the bottom Part, and change the filament to your black filament:
(I made my cut higher on the model for visualization purposes)
The solution is: Modifier. You don’t have to cut it.
Modifiers determine what the printer does. For example, you can create a cube that isn’t printed but modifies your print! So, for instance, you can print only the first few layers in black.
One more very important note: Modifier are not printed, they only change the properties. They also don’t have to be cubes; they can take all kinds of shapes.

(2) Adjust the height of the cube that should be a different color:
(3) Choose the filament color - in my example, red, to illustrate this better
(4) As you can see, a certain section is now printed in red
That’s exactly how you do it with your logo. Create a modification cube, then adjust the height exactly to 1 mm (or whatever), and then select black filament.
Modifiers can also float in the air if you just want to print a specific section in a different color.

Another way is just use the layer height function in the paint tool. Set it to 1mm and place it where you need it.
