Painting Models on iPad (.stl, .3mf)

Does anybody know of any free or reasonably priced apps to open and paint .stl or .3mf files on an iPad? I think it would be so much easier to paint a model on my 12.9" iPad Pro with the Pencil than trying to use a mouse on my computer monitor.

The problem here is if the 3mf isn’t in the Bambu format, the colors won’t come across. STLs don’t have color information. Instead, see if How to use an iPad as a drawing tablet with a PC | Creative Bloq helps. Interesting that they mention Duet Display - I have that and should see if it works.

Hey - it works! I didn’t even need to upgrade to one of the more expensive Duet tiers (I have the basic one.)

Awesome! I will give that a try!

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this:

My computer is a Mac. The iPad can be used as an extended display with the Mac, and I can move the BambuStudio app to the iPad screen and edit and paint it with the pencil, mouse, and keyboard!

Great! That’s what I did with my Windows PC and Duet Display.
