Panda Touch Situation Update

I contacted BTT about the Panda Touch and this is what they had to say:

Dear Users,

We would like to offer an update regarding the proposed firmware updates to Bambu Lab printers and how they will affect Panda Touch functionality. We know that there has been a lot of discussion around this over the last few days and people are eagerly awaiting a resolution. At this point we are still waiting to hear back from Bambu Lab regarding our request for the Panda Touch to be able to retain full functionality after the new firmware updates are installed. We will keep everyone posted as soon as there is any feedback approved for public release.

Sincerely, The BIQU/BIGTREETECH team.

When I first got my P1S, about a year ago, I considered the Panda Touch. Upon close examination I ran into the disclaimer, that it was unsupported by Bambu Lab and would become inoperable as the Bambu system developed.

In any case, I have found that I almost never look at the screens on my printers, as I can do and monitor everything from my computer screen. As it is, I would have wasted my money if I had bought a Panda Touch - either way.

I bought it last November with my P1S because I also thought I want to control the printer with it. I almost never had it in use, when I go in the basement to my printer and want to move the axis I use my smartphone for it…
In the basement of my house I have not the best wlan connection, printer works flawless, Panda Touch looses the connection every now and then… But all in all pretty sad it wont work with the new update anymore…
