Part quality gets bad once the printhead goes around the perimeter

P1S. PLA printing at 225. I printed a temp tower and it didn’t make any difference between 210-230.

The seam is in the middle and the print head is going to the right. So it starts off good but then gets very bad once it reaches the seam again. Any thoughts?

Have you tried slowing down the outer walls?

As suggested above, try running the printer in Silent mode to see if there is any difference. If there is it’s possibly because either the filament isn’t a “high flow” variety and struggles with the printers speeds or their is a problem getting heat into your nozzle. I would check the nozzle thermal paste to see if it has dried out. This has happened to others with very similar issues.

I have not. I can try this

Interesting problem. I’ll check that as well. It’s just odd that when I switch to PETG it prints fine. It only does this with large parts that I’m printing with Overture PLA.

Try upping the nozzle temperature 10c.

Well, that fixed it. Slowing down from 200mm/s to 150mm/s. Thanks for the help.
