Earlier today I started a print and did not pay attention for some time. Almost all of the filament did not go onto the bed, but balled up around the extruder. So that got all gunked up along with the hothead. Right now I have in my cart:
Extruder Unit - A1 Series
Silicone Sock for Hotend
AMS lite Filament Hub (needed this before, so getting it now)
Hotend Heating Assembly - A1 Series
.4mm Stainless Steel Hotend.
Question I have, what if anything might I be missing? I am completely ignorant to what would be needed,
I did try cleaning, but I have filament hardened everywhere on and around the hotend.
A1 Mini? It depends on the severity of the blob of doom. Upload a picture so we can see here the damage.
Set the heat back up to the filament’s printing temperature and let it sit for awhile. Most times for me, I’ve been able to grab the blob with pliers and gently remove it once it’s heated up again.

It is able to print some, but not well. It is slightly more cleaned up after this photo was taken, but not much
What about fan shroud and left fan? Are those damaged too?
If not, then your list should be sufficient, although, IMO extruder unit/gear is not needed.
Looks like the hotend fan is damaged as well.
- Hotend fan
- Part cooling fan (probably)
- Hotend heating assembly
- Maybe a new nozzle.
That should be it as far as I can see. You probably already have a spare silicon sock with your printer, but they are cheap if you want more.
