Payout to PayPal

Please make payout from the Creator Center Wallet available for PayPal. Currently, only Airwallex can be chosen, and they’re a hassle with a pretty bad reputation.

We can use PayPal in the Bambu Lab Shop, so making it possible to transfer our earnings to PayPal also, should be in the cards.

EDIT: Damn, I admit I was wrong and made an error here. I saw the Airwallex logo for transfer, and immediately went to the Airwallex website to make an account, as I mistakenly thought that this was required to pull out funding. I never thought to actually try to click further on the Bambu site.

If one DOES click the transfer button, one is presented with standard fields to fill out informations for one’s own bank account. And the money can be transfered.

This means Airwallex is only used as a gateway or off-ramp - we DO NOT need an Airwallet account, as I mistakenly thought.

Paypal would be great. I don’t have much experience with airwallex but it worked ok this first try.

So - you have been verified by Airwallex so the money you have there can actually be spent? Because I’m currently waiting for authentication there.

I’ve spent a total of almost 3200 maker points on conversion to USD to the Creator Center Wallet, and thus have over $200 there. And I’m actually beginning to regret that. This amount would have yielded 6 gift cards, which is worth a total of EUR 240. Sure, they can only be spent on the Bambu Lab store, but it’s less of a hassle than Airwallex has been so far. Because holy dachshund that enrollment and validation took a lot of time…

I would also prefer a Paypal, which I have had for many years, I do not want to create an Airwallet account, furthermore for the creation it asks for a business account that I do not have! I would like to register only as a private individual, so it is impossible to unlock the features. I have requested on my Makerworl Wallet a sum of about 250 euros, now how can I withdraw this money? I would like to have the Paypal option, furthermore I wanted to know if this money in the creator wallet can be spent on the bambu store like vouchers?
For my part Airwallex is rejected, if I knew it was like this I would have converted the points into bambulab gift cards

Wth! You can set a personal account on MW but airwallex requires a professional account to withdraw?

@planes01 did use set up a professional account on airwallex?

Let me add once again what I pointed out some time ago. I pointed out that there should perhaps be a meaningful separation on Makerworld.

The problem lies in the collision between the maker scene and economic interests (companies). But also with the models. As a rule, models that follow the ideas and goals of the scene differ from models that follow commercial goals. Mixing the two and imposing the same rules obviously leads to the kind of conflicts we see here.

Used personal. There was no separate account registration and the process was simple. USA based.

Seconding this, I never made a separate account (or an account at all that I can remember)

You do not need to create an Airwallex account.
Continuing with the payment request you will be asked for the IBAN of your bank account to which you want to transfer the money. The payment will be made by Airwallex.

I confirm that Paypal is not necessary, the money is transferred to the bank account, Airwallex is only an intermediary, someone previously wrote that an Airwallex account was necessary, this is absolutely not true. I was waiting for the money and it had confused me too, now I have verified that from the MW wallet they arrive directly to your account

Sometimes transferring money to a bank account isn’t the best option. Having multiple alternatives is always preferable. I also support the use of PayPal.

Ooooh I see - you’re all right: An Airwallex account is NOT required, as I wrongful thought it was.

I have edited my main post to avoid further confusion - my apologies!

After going through the process for the first time, I would also like to echo the option for PayPal.

While I did not have to create an AirWallex account, I do not feel comfortable having to input my personal banking information, as well as it being saved/stored on the site.

Note that PayPal does have fees. An affiliate program I was in paid with PayPal, and I made $33.08. I got $31.60. Not sure if there’s fees for accepting payments with Airwallex or not, as I haven’t redeemed yet. Not sure if this is because the affiliate program was set up wrong or what. They paid me as a if I was a business, even though it was to a “personal” account, or something like that.

From my experience so far, AirWallex also had fees. There seem to be three different methods of withdraw, with varying times / fees associated based on what you choose.

This is what I see when going through the process.

These fees remained the same whether I was attempting to withdraw $25 or $100, so it’s possibe they are just flat fees.

ACH seems like the best option, I’d guess. Not sure what qualifies as “Local”. The limit might be an issue on that one though :joy: PayPal’s fees are a percent, so Airwallex is probably cheaper if they are flat rate. I’d like the option, but I’d probably just use Airwallex.

To be honest, the process was relatively smooth and easy to go through, so I’m happy with AirWallex at the moment.

I think a lot of it will be personal preference, like my case. I have no prior of knowledge of AirWallex, so more comfortable with PayPal since I have a long history with them.

And then the other major concern of mine is having to directly input my personal banking information into the site, that is now seemingly stored there, as it autofills when I go through the process again. I did not ask for it be to saved and even if I manually delete it and close the form, it repopulates.

I don’t think @MakerWorld should be storing that information without my consent and leaves me feeling quite vulnerable.

Good news ! Are you in the EU?
If so, can you share the fees associated with the withdraw (transfert and conversion fee) if they differ from the one already shared underneath. Because I thank those one are for the US.

I am located in the US, so I’m unfortunately not able to help you there.
