I am looking for a high-quality PEI build plate that is similar to Bambu’s double-sided PEI board, but should have a smoother texture than the original.
Any ideas?
The High Temperature plate is PEI and is smooth.

I own a high temperature plate but this is not like PEI plate it has no structure and needs glue to hold the print same as Bambu engineering plate and cool plate.
Is there a different plate i didn’t know from bambu labs?
For what it’s worth, I never use glue on the high temp plate. For any adhesion issues I wash with dish soap and hot water. Some filaments like a slightly higher bed temp that the stock profile is set too.

The high temperature plate is literally a smooth PEI plate, as Jon said, just wash it, dry it with paper towels and DONT TOUCH IT.
Clean with alcohol every now and then if needed.

What your looking for can be found if you search using the term “Specular” which means in this case, Mirror finish. I purchased one of these a couple of months ago. It produces a glass-like texture. However, you will not want to use any adhesive on it so it is solely useful for PLA. I tried both PETG and PC and both left indelible marks on the plate.
I also have a smooth Engineering and I temp plate and they simply don’t produce such a glass like finish even though it is my favorite plate. Although I will say these two smooth surfaces from my Bambu plate are perfect when creating flat smooth surfaces that one may want to later glue. Texture interferes with that process.
