PEI plate concern

So far so good, after the print finished, I just lifted the PEI plate - it cooled down in just a few seconds and I could take out the print and start a new one before the printer cooled down too much.
However yesterday it got stuck to my bed. Like you-will-never-lift-me-again stuck. Luckily, when all cooled off it came off normally.
What might have happened? And should I expect something like that in the future often?

It sounds like these are first prints on a new textured PEI plate?

If so, yep, there are changes to print adhesion over time. First ones just slide right off as the build plate cools but as time goes by they get harder to remove.

Filament type also matters. The silks seem to stick hard to PEI. Some use liquid glue or glue stick warmed and smeared out to cover the model footprint. Other filaments probably too.

If something gets really tough to remove, putting plate and model in a freezer can also pop them free.

Others will likely have more advice but it’s normal and Bambu even calls the plates a consumable.

Oh, no, prints detach beautifully. The PEI plate got stuck to bed.

Was it a large print? What makes the plate easy to remove from the magnet is the fact that it flexes a bit. Large prints will prevent the plate from bending, making it difficult to remove.

Was it a large surface model you printed? If so, then the plate’s flexing property is inhibited by the stuck hard model. Has happened to me only with large models, so this is normal IMO.

Yes. Sorry, I’m replying this late. It seems that the large print was the issue. Thank you.
