Hi i just found 2 people selling one of my models on ebay . what should i do in this case . just contact them on ebay or get in touch with makerworld as its an exclusive ?

As you can see this only applies to very limited amount of models meeting certain criteria and is still limited to up to 5 uses per year.
Treat this as any commercial licence infrigement - contact them to have it taken down, contact ebay to report ip violation, lawyer up…

As a heads up, MW won’t actually do squat, i have someone who uploaded an exclusive model and MW wouldn’t help because it wasn’t a site they deal with and ebay wouldn’t do anything because they didn’t believe i owned the copyright given it was styled after a now discontinued console
Currently trying to get the images removed as they did use my own images for their listing but even trying to prove i own the images despite sending them the originals with intact meta data is harder than trying to squeeze blood from a stone
Actually Ebay has a removal tool, called the Vero Program.
What I do is first contact the seller, give him / her a few days to respond.
If they do not respond I use the Vero program tool to get the listing removed.
Be sure you tick the right option for copyrighted material and give a decent explanation.
Same goes for Temu and Etsy, they also have (very good) removal tools.

I have had to report on eBay before. Follow instructions on their Vero page.

It took me five weeks and multiple reopened tickets because the AI made the wrong decisions and just kept closing everything.
So I would strongly argue that Etsy is really bad in this regard. This is one of those places where you can only communicate with bots and their tools.

Yeah. There is no other way then their portal for reporting. The thief also used my pictures, with my living room on it. With pictures for evidenve, ID etc etc the AI closed my first ticket …
With the latest changes to etsy, I hope their business burns in hell 
Ebays VERO program is a god damn pain in the ass
They will try and find the smallest thing to get away with not having to do anything, and there is no way to make a complaint about the VERO team other than directly to the VERO team so its basically just an untouchable circle jerk
It is a pain, that is why i asked grok to make an airtight text for removal.

Best part is, i got a response from them today confirming the images are mine, however, they refuse to process it because they don’t like the email address i provided them
I may or may not have used the email address field to swear in their general direction, however as i own the domain the email will end up in my inbox should they send anything to it
Happens with several of mine. Ebay and Makerworld did nothing. Contacted several of the sellers, one actually said I was talking nonsense, despite images of my item at my home, one did actually take a model down. I think it is simply a risk you take, and whilst annoying, there’s little that can actually be done.
You can also try filing a DMCA Takedown, The process seemed quite simple when I started to do one. Just make sure to follow through with standard communication, sometimes people will be very cooperative and take it down. Make sure you you send them a set date to take it down by else you pursue legal action. ChatGPT was very helpful during the progress and did almost everything.
Ok, to get something off Ebay follow these steps:
1 make a new ebay account and apply for the VERO program
2 select option 3.2 Item(s) is/are counterfeit and infringes a copyright.
3 enter following text as description:
The seller is offering a 3D-printed model for sale on your platform at https://www.ebay.de/itm/[itemnumber], which is based on my copyrighted digital file. I am the sole rights holder of the underlying 3D model file and have not granted the seller permission to use, reproduce, or sell any physical objects created from this file.
Details of the violation:

Description of the violation: The offered 3D-printed model is based on my copyrighted 3D model file, which was used without my consent. On etsy it is all about ticking the right boxes, once you figure that out it is easy to get things removed.
Key is to stay on it and keep it professional, if you have a way that works, stick with it.
Yeah i tried that, sadly my model uses a 3rd party IP so i don’t really get to own that the same way, i got them to take it down due to them using my photograph in their listings, which i 100% own the rights to
and this 3rd party ip cannot be publicly accessed?
Its an IP owned by a massive company, so its not something i’m going to bother trying to fight them on, the image was enough to get the listings removed
