Why is there a support material available for PET-CF when PET-CF should not be used in the AMS?
What is the meaning and how is it supposed to be used???
What is the danger in running PET-CF in the AMS?
I see people reporting that they are running PET-CF in the AMS “without problems”, but are problems to be expected?
"Avoid flexible materials with the AMS because they can get stuck. These include TPE, TPU, or damp PVA. Glow-in-the-dark, particle-infused, or filaments with carbon or glass fibers may be brittle and break inside the AMS, or be abrasive and prematurely wear the internal parts. ”
You can still manually switch the filiment. Just try and use the support interface only on flat surfaces that are parallel to the build plate or you’ll drive yourself mad with all the swaps.
Alternatively just use the AMS anyway. If the filiment snaps inside then you can unplug it mid print, disassemble, remove the break and restart. If it turns out to abrade through any components then bambu fortunately supplies replacements for all of them. One thing that probably will wear through first is the release button. There’s unofficial versions that you can print and add on to the release to mitigate this.
