PET-CF used in an AMS if I never splice with other materials?

Also curious why it says AMS not compatible since elsewhere it says that there is support material compatible with PET-CF and for that to happen both would need to be in the AMS I think.
Thoughts?

My understanding is that any abrasive filament will wear out the little brass filament sensor pads inside
