PETG-CF warnings

Not sure if that should go into this or the H2D (i have no other bambuprinter anymore).

Whenever i print PETG-CF i get a warning that i should not use the AMS, the filament is brittle. Warnings everywhere. Don’t use the HF nozzle, don’t use the AMS.

But on the filament buying page, i still see PETG-CF recommended, and as long as it’s a hardened steel nozzle, all should be good.

Anyone any insights? I am printing with the HF nozzle just fine, and i would assume that the firmware should be smart enough to control the flow based on nozzle/material combination correctly.

I print a lot with PETG-CF and other CF-reinforced materials. If I need to print multicolor or multimaterial (supports), I always use the AMS or AMS-HT without issues. However, you should be aware that CF causes accelerated wear on all components, including tubes and nozzles, and you’ll need to replace them sooner than usual. The same applies to glass fiber or luminescent additives.

In addition, you should keep in mind that some materials can be very brittle (e.g., PET-CF) and may cause clogs. You can solve this by making the PTFE guides wider and removing the top cover so that the PTFE entering the hotend goes in much straighter.
