Petg hf bed adhesion

So I got myself 4 rolls of PETG HF 2 yellow 2 black and at first I was having extra strong adhesion on my stock A1 Build plate. I has been a few months since I got the A1 and nothing is sticking down now. I have to use glue sticks to promote adhesion and to release.

I have dried my filament on my Space PI at 60 degrees, for 6-7 hours and have not seen an improvement with adhesion. PLA + from Esun works just fine, sitcks down nicely but I have had no luck with Bambu PETG HF.

I’m using all of the right profiles on the slicer, PEI plate, .4 nozzle.
50% speed first layer. 70 degrees bed temperature but nothing seems to be working. I just ordered a BIQU Panda plate but it’s gonna take a week to get here and I need to print some things. What do I do?

Are you giving the plate a good scrub with hot water and anti-grease dish soap? I do that and then dry well with a microfiber cloth and rarely have issues.

If you can’t go to 65C in your dryer it could take 12 hours or more to properly dry a roll. The only way to know for sure is to weigh at intervals or test print.

You can bump the bed temp to 75C or more but I have not had to do that on textured plate, only for adhesion on the 3d effects plate which arent even supported with PETG-HF.

I did end up using a nozzle temp of 260C on the PETG-HF to avoid nozzle buildup, your env might vary.

I did give it a good wash at least every print and still having the same issues, I’ll try weighing the filament to see if it made any difference.

I set the bed temp to 75 and am printing multicolour. Small letters and stuff for a coaster but it’s still not the best adhesion. Had to cancel at least 5 prints so far.

Dried the filament again for a couple hours and RH% was at 13% so I reckon it was pretty dry but ill update if I see any improvements

I’m having the same problems, and I have also tried everything (including washing the build plate). Only small pieces get adhesion, big ones always get a part where they don’t stick. Other petg brands are having no issues

Finally found a solution

Turned the bed temp to 80 and it’s good
Also lowered the speed halfway for the first layer. That helped me too

Just make sure that the build plate is really clean, wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol and wash it with soap at least a week

Is it quite cold where you are printing perhaps?

I will not say that. The average temperature of my room is 23 celsius

It’s actually not cold, I live in Australia, it’s the peak of summer over here rn so it’s not cold, the room where i print is usually around 30 degrees Celsius

One mistake I made was washing the plate with the wrong soap (it had oil in it wich I didn’t know) this made the plate unusable until I washed it again with soap that removed oil/grease.
