I have a consistent problem with my PETG Eryone, eSun not wiping properly after a “pause”. Every time I pause I get a long piece (approx 8cm) of filament attached to nozzle and then onto the print job. I cannot pause it and remove it with tweezers as it repeats the problem so I have to try and remove it whilst printing. I did mention this on FB group and others had the same issue. It never fails to clean at any other time, only after pause. I would assume this issue can be addressed in the slicer code.
Same problem with Smooth timelapse and multi-color prints. The print head moves to the waste chute for the timelapse frame grab. A small amount of filament can ooze out during this time. The printhead then moves back to the last point it was at on the model being printed and deposits this “whisker” on the print. It then (annoyingly) moves to the prime tower to prime for the new layer.
The printhead should not return to the model’s location until after the prime tower pass. That’s the whole idea behind “priming”, get the printhead started on something you don’t care about…
