There seems to be quite a lot of folk including myself that are having problems with PETG and the nozzle not cleaning properly, then dragging a chunk of filament across and dropping it on the first layer just after the first “layer inspection”. This I am sure is an easy fix in the firmware. It cleans perfectly on all other functions, but not on this one. You can overcome it in most instances but turning off the “First Layer Inspection” tick box, but it would be nice to have it fixed properly. I found it happened to me more often with Eryone PETG and eSun PETG.
I agree, I’m surprised this hasn’t been address with a slicer update or simply check a “do more cleaning wipes for the nozzle” option in the printer.
