PETG overhangs very rough

I am new to 3D printing, and recently attempted to print a gas can cap with Bambu PETG-HF. The print was usable, but the overhangs are very rough, and half of a wall on the interior, partially failed. That line appears to be close to if not the same layer at the start of the overhang.

I used the default print profile and slicer settings, except I changed the infill to Gyroid, and upped the density to 20%.

The model is by Lt_Frogger16 on Makerworld.

The filament is pretty new, but I went ahead and dried it for 6 hours at 50 C.

Where is a good place to start on troubleshooting? I can’t figure out what my temperature was, but given the how well most of the model worked, I don’t think that is an issue, it’s more likely a slicing issue.

Welcome to the forum.

Overhangs on an outer curved surface like you have are very hard to print without support as there is nothing for the printer to bridge between.

Have you tried flipping the part over and printing with the other side down?

I’m assuming this is the part you are trying to print?

I’ll give that a shot, and yes, that is the correct model!
