PETG problems

I had nozzle clogging with my 4+ year old PETG Filament. After I cleaned everthing I bought brand new filament (Eryone @Amazon).

I do not have any more clogged nozzle but my first print looked really bad (see pictures, infill is 15% Gyroid).

PETG is 230-250, I printed at 230 with default speed “@0.20mm strong” profile, printer door and top closed.

What it most likely the problem that I have here?

The support structure looks good

You need to up your nozzle temp try 260c or 265c

What are your part fan settings ?

Have you run any calibration testing on the filament and how did it perform?

Thank you both for your advice.

At first, I did the Flow Test from the Bambu Studio and that was (in part) a mess. Until I realized that my filament was still set in the temperature range of 230-250 (that is the advice on the lable of the filament roll).

After I set it to a range of 255-260 and restarted the calibration test, it is now looking promising and I will continue the calibration

That’s awesome my friend. It also is another great example of where one has to disqualify anything written on the side of a box or is seen in ad copy until you verify on your own.

Truth is, I’ve seen a lot of the outer print, and what we see is the same label that is just repurposed from PLA boxes. The only logical explanation for this lack of quality control is that Chinese filament makers just don’t give a damn or are following Chinese mindset of Cha Bu Duo. You can tell when that’s happening when you see spelling errors on the box like “Noozle” instead of Nozzle.

Having solved this on your own should leave you with that feeling of empowerment in that you took control of your situation and conquered sloppy work on the part of the manufacturer. Kudos to you!!! :clap:

Bump the nozzle another 3 to 5c on other layers

Also when you change nozzle temps you want to run a new PA test just so you know.

Keep your speeds under control or you will have to up the nozzle temps even more the infill on a big parts will let you know … :rofl:

Everything looking really good right now. Adjusted temperature to 260, reduced speed (100 mm/s), took about 15h but looks really nice :+1:
