Hi everyone!
I’m developing a tool that converts your image cartoon-style artwork , stencil that can be turned into multicolor 3D-printable models.
The idea is simple:
-
Upload a photo of yourself, family, friends, or pets.
-
Automatically generate clean cartoon/stencil artwork.
-
Choose 2, 4, or 6 solid colors.
-
Convert the artwork into a 3D-printable model for printers such as Bambu Lab machines with AMS.
The goal is to make personalized multicolor prints without requiring manual tracing or complicated design software.
I’d love your feedback:
-
Would you use a tool like this?
-
Would you prefer realistic portraits or cartoon-style artwork?
-
Would you use it for wall art, keychains, fridge magnets, photo frame or something else?
-
Would 4 colors be sufficient for your prints?
Looking for volunteers to help with test printing!
I’m also looking for community members with multicolor 3D printers who would be interested in testing sample models generated from your images.
I can share sample 3D-printable files as they become ready. It would be extremely helpful if volunteers could print them and share photos of the results, along with any feedback about print quality, fine details, color separation, or printing issues.
This is an early-stage project, and your feedback would help improve the software and make the models more reliable to print.
I’ve attached examples showing the original photograph, black-and-white stencil, and four-color artwork.
Would anyone be interested in trying this?
Thanks everyone!
