Photos rotated to the left when uploaded

I am encountering a very bizarre and frustrating problem when uploading model photos, or photos to accompany model ratings:
My photos are being rotated 45 degrees to the left. Photos are fine in my camera and on PC and in Google Drive.
What’s even more odd is that if I upload photos from a few months ago they appear as they should!
They only workaround I have is to load the photos into an editor and then simply save them with no editing.
Anyone else encountered this, or know what’s wrong?

Unlikely to be a MakerWorld problem. Given that editing the file fixes the issue. Whatever you’re using to generate the images is the likely culprit. There’s metadata in an image file that includes rotation information. It’s not being set correctly. Your editor rewrites the metadata when you save the file, and it doesn’t have the same bug so after re-saving the problem goes away.

Thanks. That’s the bizarre thing about this. I’m doing absolutely nothing different to my workflow that I have been doing for many months. And as I mentioned, older photo’s don’t behave this way at all. Just photo’s taken in recent weeks have started doing this. Same phone, same settings. My workflow is take photo’s, upload to Google Drive, upload to Makerworld from Drive. Even if I download from Drive to PC and then upload to Makerworld they are rotated, and yet look fine in all other places. You can even see during the upload process that they are showing the correct orientation, and yet once 100% hits they rotate!
It’s getting very annoying.

Has your phone had any recent software updates? That often happens in the background. Might be something changed you didn’t notice. But an OS update, or even security updates might explain it. There’s an Android attack in circulation now that uses image files to access a zero-click exploit in SMSs. My Galaxy got an “emergency” update from Samsung for that a week or so ago…
