I loved my Creality CR6 SE it worked right out of the box and didn’t stop working right up until I donated it to a school. It still works amongst the sticky fingers of teenagers.
Oh that they did. The enders were great starters for some lucky customers that got units as good as the youtube reviewers (or fixed after some nice words from those reviewers), for others less lucky the enders were starters in well known activity called “having a project pritner” very similar to having a project car - you work on it on weekends, drive almost never , and for those with bad luck those were literal enders of 3d printing fascination.
Bambu A1 is my 1st bed slinger that actually works and prints. Creality made the market compete at scale, Bambu makes the market compete at usability - new printers from anycubic and qidi are proof of that.
yeah i agree, i’ve wanted to jump into 3d printing and design for a long time, and at that time the Enders dominated the market, but after looking at reviews and videos, the 3d printing approach was one of actually tinkering with machines to get it to print in an acceptable way, and it was not an easy thing to do, that prevented me to join sooner, as I’m not interested in the tinkering aspect, i just want to print so my first printer was the x1c, and that is the way for me, something that works with minimal tinkering and only the occasional maintenance, so it’s not really in the same ball park what bambu brought to this space
How does its print quality compare? I hear the name bandied about somewhat, but almost never does anyone seem to rate its print quality, especially compared to a Bambu.
So far it seems on par, it always gives me nice prints no matter the shape. For the price I paid, 399 for the pro, it’s hard to beat. I’ve had no issues with any of it, just like my Bambu’s.
does the cobra combo have an camera that can film timelapses
It doesn’t come with a camera, they sell one for it though, 15 bucks. It’s USB. They provide files on the printer for printing the camera mount. Got one on the way, hopefully next week.
I’ve ordered the wash and cure station, trying to get ahold of them to change my pre-order to the 4 ultra.
I’ve moved all my my models over there and removed all but 3 from here. MakerWorld doesn’t want those that do this for fun or wanna share a file or dozen. I’ve no need to post anything on MW any longer.
Don’t go away from the forum, you’ve provided a lot of valuable information here! You’re part of the family!
I won’t. I’m not Felicia, lol.
I think I’ll be happier to end the MW stuff though. MakerOnline really isn’t a bother and I can just share my stuff and hopefully have them noticed.
Really the bug in my craw is that it seems impossible for most to achieve anything at MW. Saying that makes me wonder what would be achieved. I personally think MW would have been fine without the point system, or something smaller, like just filament or merch. I got caught up in it then started caring. Now I feel better jetting on MW.
As of today, I don’t see any reason to pick a $399 Kobra 3 Combo over a $449 A1 with AMS. It sounds like you save $50 but buy unresolvable problems.
If it’s free though
…and shipping costs covered by the sender…it might
Just watched a video from a reviewer they posted on their website for a different model resin printer.
Been thinking I might want to try one. After the video, I no longer have that desire!
That’s a lot of processing with those things! Models look great though!
Yeah resin has a LOT of post work to do. It can smell horrible too. Not that bad but noticeable.
I find a wash and cure the most helpful but you don’t need one.
The worst part is dealing with dirty alcohol after a bit. You have to either give up on the alcohol and just let it evap outside while the resin in it cures, or filter it after the resin in it settles and cures in sunlight. PITA
If that’s the case, I’d dump it in my gravel driveway until I had a nice resin driveway
Am I a resin printer?
Are they unresolvable though? Time will tell.
Perhaps someone might be ‘satisfied’ with the multi color print quality, the ability to print 8 colors and the ability to dry your filament?
There’s no doubt the A1 is a better printer,to bad Bambu when with a lite version of AMS and/or limited to one unit. Would love 8 color printing on my mini, it’s an amazing printer!
