PIP is visible for BT Pairing, but errors on pairing

Thanks for your help ahead of time:
After two days and multiple attempted methods, reading this forum I have made no progress with paring to the PIP. I have tried two different phones both return can’t find printer number…

I have Handy installed from Google Playstore on a Motorola Droid T2, connected to low band RF Wifi router for data, no SIM card. Bambu Studio is on a Panasonic Tough-book, Win10 connected to same router.

I can scan the QR codes on the PIP and it takes me to the Handy, where I can select Bind, returns error (can’t find printer} even though the printer is identified by the phone.

I have tried pairing with a second phone (Motorola Play) and get the same results with BT pairing error. This phone is De-googled, hence Handy will not work on this phone since there are no Google services present.

I then setup the Motorola Play to be the data source (hot-spot) and repeated the QR code/Bind steps with the same results.

I feel like this should have worked, but I don’t believe the PIP hardware is defective.

The problem is in the pairing. I guess I could try to BT pair with borrowed phone or I could put a SIM card in the Google’d phone.

Any ideas on pairing?
My last question is how do folks connect and setup their printer using Studio without a phone?

Well, I was able to repair the printer. see attached image of BT board cover

The issue is the sticky tape foam cover of the BT board that sits behind the display. I downloaded a BT device find application then waved it around the printer but could not find a signal. Even though the phones could discover the printer the signal was too low for pairing.

I pulled the foam cover off the assembly and the BT power jumped way up. You can see the foam is beat-up. The BT antenna in theory aligns to the center/left slot.

Once there was power the setup took about a minute. Sorry for the bother, such an easy fix for what is likely a very rare problem.

What is the name of the program you tan? And what device? Android or iPhone?

The OS is Android, Bluetooth Scanner, version 2.5.0
The only setting is language, graphical display of received power. You move your phone with the app running to find the largest signal strength to help find devices or signals. In this case it showed the issue was with BT power.

Here is the board mounted to the inside of the top bar. The antenna at the bottom left of center, labeled JWX22H1. Note the two push switches near it. Also there is a USB connector on this board. I wonder if that connector could eventually be used. As a retired manufacture of similar I would say this board is not clean (shinny residues).
