PLA as support for PETG

Hey
Why is mybPLA support on PTEG hard tonremove, somewhere itbstick hard to the PTEG.
I use basic PLA and PETG HF with a sandard .4 hotend and settings recommended on wiki.

Any suggestions?

You need to set the support interface gaps to 0. A quick trick you can do is make the pla you want to use “support for pla/petg” and then in the support interface material selection, pick that filament. It will ask you if you want it to change all the necessary settings for you. Click yes or ok. Then go back to your filament list and change it back to the pla you want to use. Then go back to the support interface material selection and change that back to the filament you want to use as well.

Also not the pla filament profile up the nozzle temp of the pla to 230 & change the bed temp to match that of the PETG you’re printing. Then go to your speed settings and change the interface speed to something low like 40.

Nice! What is your interface pattern and interface pattern spacing set to? Make sure the spacing is set to 0

Interestingly my results with this combination are the opposite: my “Bambu PETG-HF” won’t stick to the “Creality PLA” interface layer.
I also followed the wiki instructions.

Maybe it’s the filament mix. So I need to go for Bambu PLA basic to achieve better adhesion.

As a solution proposal for this opposite problem here: you can increase the z-gap on bottom and/or top just a little bit to get parts separated better.

“hf”, “transparent”, “+” and “pro” and whatever other nonsense stuck onto the end of the name of the material is almost always code for “this is a blend of whatever leftover scrap and/or literal garbage other people throw away we have lying around/got for free”.

even name-brands like bambu do this and formulations often vary dramatically based on what’s avaliable and who’s manning the extruder and thus unless you’re absolutely certain that your filament is what it claims to be and not some ridiculous blend of literal trash being sold as a premium product then you should find alternative means such as PVA, or making your parts snap together, fileting and making holes teardrop shaped and/or or seeing if you can set fuzzy skin to 0.1 to even 0.05 to prevent the need of using support

but at the end of the day the best way to deal with supports is to not design something that requires them.
