Hi, is PLA+ available any more? If not what can I use to give me a tough print? Id love to use it with the AMS if possible?
you can use Sunlu PLA+ the spools are AMS compatible.
Wow, I didn’t know that Thanks
i used sunlu pla+ for the first time the other day, other than bumping the bed temp to 65 (I’ve read sunlu likes a hotter plate than bambu filiment? idk but it works for me) the stock profile for esun pla in the bambu studio has worked flawless for me.
Thank you I’ll give it a go. Did you use it with the AMS?
I just finished one roll of SUNLU PLA+ in my AMS and have another running again. So, yeah, it works well in the AMS.
Half of my filament rolls i`ve uses with my X1C with ams are Sunlu PLA+. Its my got to PLA, its easy to get, the price is good and prints perfect with the PLA Basic (not generic) profile.
Sunlu sells also reusable PLA+ spools with an refill system, print also great but near the end they can tangle a bit.
I’m constantly testing filament rolls and summarize have collected small reviews here: 3D printing | The Brickbank APP Wiki
I do use elegoo PLA+ Rapid - prints very well with stock Bambu PLA matte settings. I rip the cardboard away and put it onto reusable spool. There is a how to video on elegoo website.
Thank you, I’ll check it out
OK Thanks for your help! I now have another question, I’m using Sunlu PLA+ and all is well, however, I have a print that has a feature on the top that I’d like to print in another colour. With Bambu filament I can do this without any problem, my issue is that when I try it with PLA+ as the AMS doesn’t recognise the filament as a known one it would let me swap colours automatically.
Any ideas or thoughts would be most welcome
Esun has pla+… works like a charm! And you can get x1c profiles on their web site or via their web chat!
But it can get brittle -even in the AMS- when left in open air when unused for a month.
It doesn’t seem to be a moisture problem. Just store in a vacuum bag!
Or…
But all you have to do is bend the filament to test if it breaks. Usually after 40cm you have good filament. No problem!
Hi, Thanks for the reply, I’ll get the profile and see how it goes
