They just added 9 new colours, not a press release I spotted, nothing other than a scrolling message at the top of the store site.
Many of us have been asking for more colours which they essentially dumped and forgotten to tell anyone about and this would have been a decent message to share.
It would have been better to mark the new ones as new - to make it easy to spot and ORDER!!!
New releases
Sunflower Yellow 10402
Pumpkin Orange 10301 (where was this last month!!!)
They aren’t that great at communicating stuff like that, yeah. I only know about half the new stuff they offer because I watch the site. In particular, with the Maker supply, I routinely just manually check what’s new because they announce nothing on that front.
I haven’t even got a chance to fully think about the new colors. I’m really excited for the sunflower yellow though, specifically. I have been chomping at the bits for a better yellow from them. I’m very particular about the shades of yellow I find acceptable.
I just ordered a couple of the new colors on the day they were released, but haven’t been able to do anything with them yet. Too much going on this week!
I would like to purchase some of the new colors with spools, but I only see them available as refills in the store right now. Do you know when the new PLA color filaments will be available for sale with spools?
You may order an AMS and you’ll get 4 empty RFID ready Bambu spools on which you may transfer the refills. Or you could print some spools yourself (plenty of choice on Makerworld and Printables) and use them.
I’m with you on the extra AMS, I just thought you must be swimming in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck to start from the idea of using the included ones in the AMS with printing being your alternative.
I have two AMS on each of my four P1S printers, so I know what you mean about more is better.
Don’t I wish
but reality is much harsher than my wishes…so I’ve settled for a second AMS unit (that’s how I’ve learned it comes with 4 Bambu empty spools), just in case I’ll need to use 8 colors for a print (not going to happen, or not anytime soon) , or a replacement in case the older one decides to die on me for whatever reason… in which case the old one will simply be used as a spares source.
