PLA Basic just got more colorful — explore 9 new colors now!

Why is BL SO bad at communications?

They just added 9 new colours, not a press release I spotted, nothing other than a scrolling message at the top of the store site.

Many of us have been asking for more colours which they essentially dumped and forgotten to tell anyone about and this would have been a decent message to share.

It would have been better to mark the new ones as new - to make it easy to spot and ORDER!!!

So nowhere near their customers, just in the same place weird teens go to get angry and say the world hates them.

I ordered new filaments form the PLA range 6 days ago (as noted in the post), but they were not available then.

Not on THEIR blog. not on THEIR forum.

Yes

I already have several of the new colors

They aren’t that great at communicating stuff like that, yeah. I only know about half the new stuff they offer because I watch the site. In particular, with the Maker supply, I routinely just manually check what’s new because they announce nothing on that front.

I was just about to alert you in a DM (like a friend) as we both seek new colours.

But, YOU, have already been playing with them and I wasn’t invited!!!

One of the people who downloaded my TPU keychains told me he used the new AMS-ready TPU, so he has an early release.

Did you get an early release friend?

I do that as it changes so often, the filaments change so rarely, the last time was the two greys.

Someone said the Japanese launch occurred already.

Weirdly, the price shown is 179 yen, which is just 90p in the U.K.

Link for what? I gave the PLA link for the new colours.

I am also looking for a TPU link, no one seems to have one, but, people say is has been released.

Haha, I wish.

I haven’t even got a chance to fully think about the new colors. I’m really excited for the sunflower yellow though, specifically. I have been chomping at the bits for a better yellow from them. I’m very particular about the shades of yellow I find acceptable.

I just ordered a couple of the new colors on the day they were released, but haven’t been able to do anything with them yet. Too much going on this week!

I received all the Galaxy and Sparkle PLA colours available for the first time.

They are all the same colour! Blue, Green and Purple all appear the same.

If the rumoured price (based on the exchange rate) for the TPU and only having 7 colours is true, I have overbudgeted for those.

I am awaiting their release to purchase one of each and now I will also grab one of each of the 9 colours of PLA.

Are we all going to campout on the sidewalk waiting for this TPU to drop? I expect it to sell out fast.

I’ll bring a thermos of hot chocolate.

I will bring an attitude, I haven’t left my house in almost 5 years, so this will be a treat.

I would like to purchase some of the new colors with spools, but I only see them available as refills in the store right now. Do you know when the new PLA color filaments will be available for sale with spools?

I have no idea.

Annoyingly, they don’t even have the ‘with spool’ option so you can request a stock alert when the with spool variant!

You may order an AMS and you’ll get 4 empty RFID ready Bambu spools on which you may transfer the refills. Or you could print some spools yourself (plenty of choice on Makerworld and Printables) and use them.

A significantly more expensive choice than buying the reusable spools themselves though.

To be noted that I’ve also said (as alternative) the following:

… but having a second AMS doesn’t hurt either (8 spools to print, or a spare unit, in case when needed).

I’m with you on the extra AMS, I just thought you must be swimming in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck to start from the idea of using the included ones in the AMS with printing being your alternative.

I have two AMS on each of my four P1S printers, so I know what you mean about more is better.

Don’t I wish
but reality is much harsher than my wishes…so I’ve settled for a second AMS unit (that’s how I’ve learned it comes with 4 Bambu empty spools), just in case I’ll need to use 8 colors for a print (not going to happen, or not anytime soon) , or a replacement in case the older one decides to die on me for whatever reason… in which case the old one will simply be used as a spares source. :upside_down_face:

o gosh didnt saw it sorry X﹏X
