Hi there,
Absolute noob here. So far I’ve printed a flexi-rex, a scraper, and a pegboard enclosure for my P1P, all out of Bambu Basic PLA. Effectively I downloaded .3mf files and clicked print, and everything has just worked. My mind is boggled.
That said, I’ve slowed down and started doing more research and trying to understand what all these settings are. When I purchased my P1P, I also ordered some Bambu PLA-CF in black, since that was the only black PLA filament in stock. I just figured the CF meant it would be stronger, but didn’t realize it might require a different extruder unit.
Pardon me as I’m still learning the lingo, but what do I need to do to the hot end/nozzle/extruder/gears to make my stock P1P compatible with printing this more demanding material? Currently, my P1P is entirely stock, and I’m a bit confused by Bambu’s website if I need to just replace the gears or get another entire extruder, if the hot end matters, etc.
Should I be switching back to Stainless when I’m not printing CF? Can I just upgrade the extruder and print everything with it?
I’ve tried searching the forums and the general internet but I’m getting confused. Any help appreciated!
