PLA Galaxy vs PLA Sparkle: What's the difference in look?

So the PLA Galaxy filaments have glass additives in them while the Sparkles have metal particles. But do they look different enough to casual eyes? Can these two kinds be used interchangeably aesthetic-wise? Can someone who have used both share some experience?

When used as small areas of a bigger model, they can appear the same.

I have all colours in both sets and I am disappointed in his similar they look.

When used as part of a multiple colour model, it really is difficult to tell them apart. When removing them from the AMS, I need to review the label to identify which is which before returning to their respective boxes.

If you use large amounts of each, it gets easier.

They have been a disappointing purchase.

Thanks for the info. Yes, the descriptions seem to suggest that the galaxy filaments will shine from any angle while the sparkles shine more but can look different from different angles.

But that’s in theory. In reality, since the amount of additives and particles has to be small so as not to alter the PLA property too much, the visual difference may not be that big.

I think I will buy one or two galaxy filaments when I need it for the whole model. I used sparkle PLA from another brand before and didn’t like it. So I probably will not consider them for now.
