My H2S wants me to wait until the AMS is cooled down under 40°C before i am able to load PLA into the extruder. I think that is a little bit too anxious of the system. Can i switch off that warning or at least increase the value?

No—and it shouldn’t be. The filament path from the AMS can clog, especially with PLA, and temperatures in those channels can exceed 40 °C. This behavior is normal for both the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT, and it’s a common complaint. The limit is likely a deliberate safety margin: because there aren’t sensors along the entire feed path, they’ve set a conservative cutoff. That’s also why you shouldn’t dry PLA while it’s loaded above ~45 °C, even though their general drying guidance is around 55 °C—the path can run hotter than the reported chamber temperature.

Wait what? I don’t own an AMS2 or HT, but I did just purchase a kobra 3 combo, and the ace pro advertises drying while printing. I’d be a bit upset if this were not possible on Bambus more expensive hardware.

Thats what i tried, but it would hav needed mor than an hour to cool down: My custom installed thermometer in the ams said 30°C, but the AMS-thermometer still said 45 and cooled down too slow. Only exposing to colder outside temperature of 14°C helped. But what to do during summer or when its too cold to open the window? Very unpractical…
