PLA Not An Option

I have 2 reels of PET-G, 2 PLA in my AMS. When I try to use PLA, there is no option on the print window. It does work with both PET-Gs

.Any ideas what is happening

You need to set filaments correctly in the AMS. You can see that the AMS believes that it only has PETG loaded.

Yeah, had to set filamnt type in device. Not just in the prepare window.

As this comes up often, I thought I would add a note.

The reason this occurs is a feature and not a bug.

If you wish to use PLA when you print, you need to make sure your model uses PLA filaments.

If you select PETG, only PETG filaments available on the external spool or AMS will be listed.

As the model has been sliced at this point, your printer might be damaged if it didn’t stop you here. This is due to PLA and PETG requiring very different temperatures to operate.

It would be nice if the print screen simply explained this under a button labelled “confused”.

Your model contains only PETG filaments so we have only listed PETG filaments to select from. We notice you also have PLA filaments in your AMS, if you wish to use those, go back and change your filaments assigned in the model.

Bambu Handy allows you to choose PETG or PLA irrespective of how it was originally created because the slicing operation is performed after all choices are made related to the filaments.
