PLA to PETG

I was wondering when you download a print lets say from maker world and i was made to print in pla but i want to print it in petg, how do i do that or is it even possible.

I tried to day and when i tried to pick petg from my ams instead of the default pla it wouldnt let me?

That should work fine, unless you had the cold plate selected.

Yes, will work easily. You have to select PETG in your slicer and slice the model, then you should be able to select it in AMS.

Another way to start a new project is to only import the geometry without all the profile settings from the publisher. One way to do this is:

  1. Open an existing project that has the printer, plate, filament and process settings that you intend to use.

  2. Add the new object using the Add [Ctrl+I] button on the left of the top toolbar.

  3. Select “Import geometry only”

  4. Delete the first object.

  5. The imported object will inherit all the settings from the first one.
