PLA Z Banding Issue?

X1 Carbon on PLA has issues on the left upper portion of the print. Otherwise the print is always perfect, save for stringing on one side, see video. I cleaned and lubricated, dried filament, calibrated, etc… Any thoughts on why this issue?

Welcome to the forum.

I don’t see any z banding in the video. Do you have any close up pictures of your issue? The left side is the side with the aux fan. Is there any chance that is turning on?

Yes indeed the fan turns on. This is the default setting on the filament. I have printed this before and haven’t had issues. Here are some pics:

Here is the cooling settings.

So I solved the issue but not sure what the cause was.
I changed the hot end with a new one with the full assembly that includes the fan.
I calibrated the device again and also the PLA filament.
The print is not perfect as it still has some bumps on it, although am not certain what fixed it. I would say it was the hot end possibly for whatever reason, likely worn out as I do print a lot.
I doubt the fan was the issue, but much appreciate the thought experiment.
