Planing to buy my gf an A1 Mini Can she download my hueforges?

So I am collecting some points to get a discount on an A1 Combo that I will gift to my lovely partner. I also make a lot of hueforges, some specially for her. Until now I’ve been printing those for her but once she has her own printer she can do it herself.
My question is, although she has her own account and printer, can I get in any trouble when she prints one of my profiles just because we are connected to the same network?

i wouldnt especially for low hanging yawnforge

You will have to explain what a low hanging yawnforge is?

Hmm, not sure if you’d get in trouble or not, but I can see their automated system flagging it as fraudulent download since a different account is downloading it from the same IP address. If it was me I’d just share the STL of my model to the computer she will be using to print from. No need to print directly from Maker World since you own the model.

low hanging is simple low effort prints(aka hueforge), yawnforge aka boring 2d printed hueforge

Good Hueforges take hours to make, some even more. There is a ton of photo editing that is involved into a proper Hueforge before you even start doing anything in Hueforge. I do however agree that there are tons of low or even no effort 5 minute hueforges flooding the sites. Thanks for clarifying

I am trying to make it as easy as possible for her. Why would we need to transfer files over network or drivers when she is a legitimate user, with a legitimate printer with a serial number and all connected to her accout?
I want her to be able to hit open in bambu then print and be over with it.
1 download here and there isnt going to influence my points in any way.

if one download here or there wont hurt, why you asking us… good luck

Not trying to say you are doing anything malicious, but Maker World has an automated system in place that looks for people trying to abuse the system. No idea what their thresholds are and what they actually flag on, so you may be perfectly fine with her downloading using her account while on the same network as you. Just be aware that it’s possible that they may temp ban one of the accounts if their system deems it suspicious.

Up you to weight the risk vs reward, but I tend to be risk averse and so I’d take the extra step to only print my files locally on my network. I’d just share my local STL repo on my network and just tell them to print from there. The only really downside to that is that you couldn’t print them from Bambu Handy, but that could be mitigated by just disconnecting from wifi and then it wouldn’t matter if you printed from Maker World.

Mate, if you are bored maybe go design something. I am trying to have a discussion, discussions require opinions. You have been acting condescending right fight from the get go. I am going to blame it on midlife crisis and ignore you moving forward.

Using the app on a mobile network is a great idea! I didnt really think of that. I thought of printing while connected to a hotspot with a mobile network. Maybe because I never print from the handy app myself.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Regardless even if she does its going to be here and there. A single printer can print just so much.

I wonder how would Bambu address situations like that however. I know they do have a lot of automated systems to combat all of the abusers that try to play the systems (thats what you get every time there is money involved so no wonder) But often people of the same household would have a few printers because as you know if the father is a fan of bambu, so will his kids.
Was just wondering if they care to try and filter this out or just slam dunk on everyone because of the rotten apples.

i gave my opinion and i have stuff printing not yawnforge thats for sure but actual 3d prints… you ask people opinions then if you dfont like their answer you try to ignore or silence them… hueforge should be banned from maker world its not original is copying a picture my epson 1430 artrisan can do that in seconds with much better quality

You gave your opinion on what a proper model deserving of printing is, which would be perfectly fine if that was the topic of conversation. Sadly for you and your resentment towards people that dont think or like the things you do - its not, thus why I would ignore you.

Plus you superiority complex is quite repulsing too

Just ignore VL. Everyone here knows he is butt hurt over hueforge and we just ignore him anymore… He is a rooster in the basement - He squacks loud but no one listens, but maybe it makes him feel better about himself.

On your question, I have had friends download some of my stuff without issue. I even download my models from here when I need to print one. Just avoid having her download all at the same time. Download each as you print it and you will be fine.

Was the profile connected to a separate printer which you gave to her as a gift?
