Plate Damage on XC1 Carbon

Hello Forum-Members,

i am pretty new here and wanted to say a nice hello from germany.

I own two XC1 Carbon. Printing a lot, i love it!

Today one of my printers destroyed the whole plate while i was in the bathromm to take a shower.

Anyway, the part that i wanted to print was printed several times before without any issue.

I used the same standard setting and also same pla filament today on both printers to print it. The printers have the original parts installed , as i bought them.

I allready opened a ticket on bambu. Let’s see what they are saying…

I add a phote of the damaged bad and hotend and nozzle.

Yes, autolevelling was enabled…

If you do have any information what could happen here, feel free to answer.

Thanks!

Important here would be firmware version and if newly updated the firmware?

The Firmware Version is 01.09.01.00.

I cant say when it was updated, but i think it was when the update was rolled out.

Still no answer from Bambu-Support…

It doesn’t appear to be a damaged build plate, but rather a case of foaming filament with poor adhesion. By the way, what filament are you using?

I used Sunlu Basic Pla. Never had a problem with this.

When was it last dried, could also wet filament.

the filament was new.

I also use silica in the ams to have not high humidity.

I asked a friend now for a hotend and a old pei plate.

cleaned all rods, added also new lubricant.

checked if there is any dirt in the machine, but was clean as i expected. cleaning it all 2 weeks.

now changed the hotend and did a full recalibration of the machine updates to 1.10.

Machines are working, but still di nit know what caused the issue.

Did Bambu Lab support answer you? That was 17 days ago…

So i got in contact with Bambu Support.

In both cases it didnt help to find the issue that caused that problem.

They send me gcode wich i had to run. Had to make a lot of photos and videos and so on.

After i asked the second time for free spare parts in one of the two cases i opened (because two printers same issue) they agreed to send the spare part.

In the same case they told me that cracking noises in the bearings are just a normal thing.

To conclude it, my printers are running again after changing the hotends and nozzles , issue unknown. getting two new pei plates and one hotend. (Bambu says PEI Plates and Hotends are normal using pieces and not included in the guarantee)

But the support from Bambu was good.

But still one of my printer makes cracking noises when lowering the Z-Axis.

But i allready now know two other guys that have the same problem.
