Please start a Bambu Lab Amazon shop, or SOMETHING!

Kind of an open letter to Bambu.

I really like using Bambu’s filament with my X1C given that it’s all tuned to work together and the AMS reads the info automatically off the RFID, but it takes forever to receive. I ordered 5 spools off the website a week ago (Wednesday) and they’re only just expected to arrive today (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, I can go on Polymaker’s Amazon shop and have filament delivered in 2 days or less. Some are even same day. It’s obviously no small feat to setup that kind of production and distribution for Amazon to have the product stocked and ready to deliver that quickly, but there must be some way of improving the turnaround time on filament orders.

I just sent them feedback similar to this, 11 days for me to get filament via FedEx. 11 days via FedEx? Is someone walking it over from NJ to CA?

Bambu needs to sort this out OR they need to better support 3rd party filaments.

I’ve had four parts/filament shipments from Bambu. In each case FedEx only had the package for 2-3 days, whether it came to Ohio from California or New Jersey.

The inexcusable part is the additional 2-3 day delay between the creation of the shipping label and FedEx receiving the package from Bambu.

Agreed on this point. The only solution I see is ordering like extra spools and like 20-30 refill kits.

I don’t have an AMS, and don’t need the RFID chips, so I can and do use filament suppliers that can move more quickly.

The filaments I ordered at the same time as my X1C also took a very long time to ship. I now need some more filament quick and normally would have ordered from Bambu, but given the shipping times & uncertainty I ordered elsewhere.

Fortunately I can’t say the same for the EU shop, at least for Germany.

Turnaround is about 48h, absolutely acceptable.

Rather then start a new topic, I’ll continue this.

What is happening with filament stocking in Bambu shop?

I need to replenish stock and almost all of the PLA, PLA Matte & PLA+ are all out of stock.

When they do come back in to stock they’re in dribs and drabs. I use a LOT of filament, and usually have at least 2 of each colour PLA, and 10+ of Black and White.

This means when ordering I can take the bulk order discounts.

Before Xmas I needed 4 or 5 colours, all out of stock. I set up notification when back in stock and was informed one of them was in stock. By the time the others came in stock the first had gone out of stock again. At no point has everything been in stock.

Currently 19 out of 30 colours are out of stock.

Switching to another supplier short term runs the risk of not being able to colour match precisely.

I’m close to ditching Bambu filament altogether and going with a supplier than can actually manage its stock properly.

Why put on a bulk discount offer when you can’t even supply the basic colours?

Working in procurement, suppliers being out of stock of the basics, is often a sign that they aren’t paying their supplies and are in trouble financially.

Don’t loose your breath waiting on Bambu; ditch it and find another (more reliable) filament supplier. I’ve switched from Bambu to eSun and Sunlu filament right after ordering my second (and last) batch of filament from Bambu, for the very same reasons. That was back in June 2024… Never have I looked back (or regretted) ever since.

Every filament except 10kg spool packs are out of stock in the UK now

Considering the shortage is worldwide, this sure does feel a lot like emptying stock for a supplier change
