Has anyone made the experience yet what happens when you connect the AMS 2 Pro to power while its being used to feed Fillament to a P2S or when it is drying with the help of the P2S?
I connected my Printer and AMS to a Smart Plug so i can turn them on or off when i am not home and thats something i have been thinking about.
Anyone have any experience with that?
I wouldn’t mess with it. I do not see any reason to do so. It is probably fine since the external power is really only used for the heater, but there is no reason to try it out.
With the smart switch, keep the AMS(s) and printer coming off of the same switch. If they turn on at the same time, there is no issue.
Just do it while drying, I don’t think ams will commute to it, it will probably continue to use device’s power
The idea was if i am Printing something and i wanna start Drying while the printer is running i can turn on the Smart home plug and start drying, but maybe now that i keep thinking about it it does sound stranger and stranger
the main reason was that i did not wanna have the AMS 2 Pro plugged in all the time to not waste power
i feel like i am making this combination a lot more complicated then it is
consume what, leds wattage ? 
Everything has an Idle Wattage usage
You’re not wasting any power.
The amount of energy consumed at idle is negligible. About 1 watt, less than a light bulb.
Yeah now that i am looking into it buying a Smart home Plug seems a bit overkill
i should just get a Normal Power Plug and have both of them On at the same time
I finish a print in 20 mins. After that if you want i measure the power absorption 
I do not believe you because none is powering off television since the advent of the first flat screens. your pc is permanently ide, same as the monitors… cmon even the microwave is permanenlty on
Yes. That is exactly what you should do.
Personally, all of my printers stay on all the time. The idle on these machines is very efficient, there is little reason to turn them off. Am I paying an extra 50 cents on my electric bill? Probably. Enough that I care? No.
It is now maybe a good time to mention that i have no real idea about Electrical Stuff

Good idea. I am not one to go out and say you need a crazy UPS or anything, but I will recommend a high quality surge protector before anything.

the same company made the Plug for my Entire Gaming Setup
I just had one of the HT and AMS 2 power adapters unplug while printing (The adapter fell out, and I had that nozzle up on the screen. I noticed the little green plug was grey and when I checked all of them is when I noticed two were unplugged. It wasnt drying, but I plugged them back in and after a few seconds the plug changed back to green. Don’t do like I did just because it worked for me, but after doing several “reassign” cycles it’s not the first or the last time I have done the connect chain. I have 8 connected to an H2D.
I use Isobar surge protectors, have for decades and they have held up great.
I have my P2S, HT-AMS and AMS 2 Pro plugged into a smart socket. I have had no issues.
