Unique to my H2D; my X1C does not have this issue.
Update: these purge tornadoes just caused major damage. I have a video of the printer’s tool head colliding with one of them during an automatic bed leveling and subsequently causing major damage to it. The tool head’s right nozzle dug into the build plate so far that it ripped up the PEI coating, leaving behind only the adhesive that secures it to the base spring steel. There is now a huge spot of damage left on the build plate and that side is completely unusable.
If this is an issue with the firmware as another user pointed out, then I think my plate needs to be replaced. These OEM H2D plates aren’t cheap…
Yep, there is ALWAYS a piece dropped on my plate. EVERY print. And my X1CC would drop something every 20 prints, maybe 30. Purge setup is a big step back.
I noticed that this started happening more often after a recent firmware update where they “optimized purging strategy” or however they put it, so it’s likely something with that. I haven’t seen it on recent prints but I’ve been mostly single nozzle printing due to my last project. When when I was dual nozzle printing it wasn’t every time, but on a big print with over 1K nozzle changes it would happen once or twice
I am having this issue too, and to make matters worse, one of them fell into a crevice where the heatbed connects to the back Z-rail, and I can’t get it out. I don’t think I can get at it without removing the entire heatbed.
I also have similar issues lately, first the poops pile up in the tray near the nozzle wiper and does not fall down the chute. Or it piles up in the poop chute. With the 0.2mm nozzle it is even worse than the 0.4mm nozzle.
This still a major problem with my H2S. I can’t even do prints with a couple of color changes because poops are not even bothering to drop down the chute and the chute is completely clean. I even lined it with aluminum tape, still didn’t fix it. Bambu Support is completely useless as they try to blame everything on the users and not faulty equipment and make you run around doing useless “troubleshooting” so they can avoid admitting these printers have major major issues. I regret ever purchasing this printer…..
