I wish I could have come up with a better way to title this. I printed my first multi-colored print with the AMS. The purge filament kept sticking to inner wall of the poop shoot causing the printer to stop printing and saying the shoot was backup on every filiment change. I had to manually “flick” the poop shoot to disloge the filiment stuck to the wall.
I really want to print more multicolored prints but I can’t be expected to baby sit the printer very time the filamnet purges. Is there any solutions?
As funny as it sounds, providing a picture of the “poop” can potentially help with what is causing the clogging. The arm on the poop shoot should be closing the little flapper door so that the poop coils into a small piece which will easily fall through the shoot. Do you have any modifications added?
I don’t see a metal piece from my perspective - I’d have to pull the AMS off and relocate the printer to get a better view.
I wish I had thought about shooting a photo of what was happening. I almost appeared that when the nozzle purged it wasn’t purging over the poop shoot but against the inner poop chute wall causing the sticking.
