I try to get my brand new A1 working, but every time I run even calibration, it poops during single color print. For example, calibration line is not finished, the head goes left to purge poop, takes a while, and then returns to print. This occurs extremely often during every print. And it affects print quality.
I have tried to increase and decrease nozzle temperature, flow ratio, and bed temp, but no change.
I use provided textured PEI plate, non BL PLA with 220deg nozzle, 60deg bed.
Does anyone have a clue what can help?
Check your timelapse setting in the slicer.
I’ve also read that this can happen if the AMS lite is positioned too far away or if PTFE tubes are tangled or otherwise restricting smooth motion of the filament. The extruder/printer sees it as a possible jam or tangle and it tries to purge as it’s testing for such a condition.
Is this with the AMS Lite? If so is this happening with particular position on the AMS Lite? I have had this occur with any filament that is housed on the #4 position.
Thank you, it was probably the issue with temperatures only.
Now I use generic PLA with the highest recommended (by manufacturer) temp of the nozzle.
The temp of the bed is even higher than the recommended temp of the bed. I played a little with the temp of the bed and encountered that a higher temp leads to better first-layer adhesion.
…And the tangle detection is now disabled. I have tried it to enable and it started to interrupt the prints like mad. So it seems that the main issue is with tangle detection. Now the prints are fine with great quality.
Did you ever find a solution to this? I am experiencing the same issue and it’s infuriating! It’s occurring on prints I’ve successfully printed numerous times already with no issue.
It continues to purge NUMEROUS times during each layer of a print. to the point where I am likely purging 3x as much filament as I am actually printing. It also is telling me to check for jams frequently and it is never actually jammed. My AMS is sitting on the desk beside the printer and this issue occurs when the AMS is positioned in the suggested location offered in the assembly instructions. I do feel this may occur more frequently with spools which are nearing the end possibly? Could it be something about the tension of the spool once only a small amount of filament (+/- 200g or less) remains on the spool?
Turn off tangle detection.
Yes, turn off the tangle detection. It was surprising for me. No temp issue though.
I use filaments from a local vendor because they are always available and are much cheaper than Bambu, with no compromise on quality. Even though every spool is excellently winded up, can’t say about spools from other vendors, the tangle sensor detects the tangles.
And if you hear clicking from the spool during the print, it is the tangle sensor issue, for sure.
Im having the same issue with the same position all others were fine. Did you ever solve this? Sorry new to 3d printing, let me know if I should create a new thread.
Yes, just turned off the tangle detection and it stopped happening.
Hello, I had this issue with my A1 printer and the reason is, that as always you active the timelapse in traditional mode the Nozzel doesn´t make the purge correctly, so the poops will be dragged to the print. The printer shows you an advertisement that you can have quality problems with your print in this mode; and recommends you to activate the smooth mode. In this mode, the printer will make a purge tower to avoid these problems. The head goes to the left in every layer ready and the cam takes the capture for the timelapse.
