Poor Camera Quality Purple Haze problem

Hi guys, first post

I am getting is awful purple hazy video feedback, I am indeed a Prince and Hendrix fan, but that is a bit much

I did see a post here with the same problem, but the solution there did not work for since the problem persists regardless where I plug the printer on a power strip, surge protector or the main receptacle.

thanks for all the inputs

Someone mention this problem was from overheating the camera, so check and see if you have it close to a heat source.

Also check if the ribbon is fully connected. It’s actually a terribly ribbon connector and can easily get a bad seat.

Also, make sure the light is functioning, may just be noisy from the low light.

Nope, it was fine, turned it off, then next day turned it on and it was like this

Yep I’ve got the same thing happening. When I reboot the camera it’s fine, but at some point in it always turns low quality and purple (identical to your screen shot). Would love to know if there is a resolution to this.

I had the same thing and went through support and they sent out a new camera replacement. It was very easy to swap out the camera and the problem was fixed for good.

I’d also like to chime in and explain that I have the same problem as listed above. mid-way through a print my camera started getting excessive purple noise. Might be a batch of bad cameras. This was also during a PLA print so I know heat wasn’t an issue as it’s barely above ambient inside.

Open a support ticket. I had the same problem and was sent a new camera.
