On one of our three X1-Carbon printer we get poor video quality most of the time. It is not always this bad but often.
Does anyone know of a fix?
The camera is starting to fail. Bambu has replaced cameras with similar “Purple” under warranty for others on the forum.
I’ve started to have that same issue with my camera. My timelapses are no good anymore because of it. It’ll come and go throughout a print. I don’t print anything more advanced than PETG, and I don’t even print that very often. Therefore, in my case, I don’t feel as though it’s a heat issue.
It happened to the two X1Cs that I use for ABS so I thought it was heat related… but honestly it could be total coincidence. Unfortunately the only way I could fix it was to replace them both. Double unfortunately mine were over a year old so they weren’t under warranty. One peculiar thing I noticed when I compared the original camera to the new ones, the new ones didn’t have that ferrite choke on the cable. I don’t really know enough about cameras to know why it isn’t needed anymore.
I had this happen after printing some PC, so I agree it tends to be temperature induced. Bambu was quick to replace the camera under warranty with a few sample images uploaded in the support case as evidence. Luckily replacing the camera is extremely easy.
Cool! I’m not the only one having this issue. Starting a ticket right away!
