On the topic of order fulfillment overall, Bambu has had a very checkered past over the last year and a half. I’ve probably been one of the most vocal critics, given that I’ve made a career serving customers in one way or another, and therefore I have a zero-tolerance policy for ineptitude or callousness. To be candid, Bambu comes across as tone-deaf to customer needs.
However, I placed an order at 5 AM on a Thursday for spare parts, and unfortunately, I had to purchase a spool of filament to get the free shipping. That said, I received the order by the next day. I must give credit where credit is due. This was the second occasion where I experienced such quick delivery, and the first time it was delivered in under 24 hours. Perhaps I got lucky, or perhaps the logistics company Bambu hired has saved them. Either way, I am impressed.
Now, if we can just fix the rest of the issues, maybe we’d be onto something. Truth be told, I doubt Bambu will try to compete with Amazon suppliers but if they continue to charge a 30-65% premium on filament I can better quality for less, then it’s unlikely I will be testing their logistics that often. Especially when I am forced to pay a minimum for free shipping when I don’t have to with the competition.
