Possible to pause mid-print, unload filament and load a new roll

I have a print that will go overnight, looks like my roll in my AMS slot may be completed before the job is done. I thought I could simply pause the print, unload and reload - similar to many of the 3D printers out there. When I paused my print - “unload” was not active. Is this normal, has it been addressed in a new update? I assume I could cut the filament, let it run out and then reload - but was looking for a normal way of doing it.

Thanks

Not able to load second roll in another slot in AMS and have it switch automatically?

I can turn that on - thanks - I will do that for now on.

Just be aware that hitting the end of a spool unattended may get you tape ingestion into an AMS. If you are using Bambu filament, there have been some issues apparently even with the new way of taping the filament.

There’s a lot of people not having issues too.
