Preheating fillaments for h2d?

I just got a 3kg spool of PC-PBT, which of course does not fit in AMS-HT, as expected, so i am printing with it using Sunlu E2 dryer. Lid does not close, but it rides on bearings and it gave me an idea. Is there any value of using Sunlu E2 with some high temp being set to preheat some harder filaments like PPS-CF and print with them already starting at ~100 degrees C? In my case i had a few times that pps-cf broke in the tube causing problems, so i am thinking preheating the spool might make it less brittle?

I think this is a potentially promising idea, but you would need to test the stuff.

At 100C I don’t think you would even be scratching the surface of softening this material however. At 200-215C I found some slight softening of the material. I would have concerns about running something that hot through the printer’s hardware, but I would think that it would cool tremendously long before it got anywhere near the areas which need it to flex the most (outside of an AMS anyways).
