Prevent comments below certain requirements

@MakerWorld @Makers_Supply

Tired of receiving unwanted comments from the same user who continues to open new accounts and use others always to be able to continue his defamation, I ask that this possibility be taken into consideration, also for the protection of the creators:

-Prevent new users from commenting under the models if at level 1
-Prevent users of level 2 or 3 from commenting if they have not successfully printed at least 4 or 5 files
-Prevent users with level 5 and lower from commenting if they have not printed and downloaded at least 10 files

Other solutions to prevent comments from these trolls are welcome.
It is not possible to continue to uselessly report a user who creates flames under a model, who is blocked and in order to continue to fuel his flame creates other accounts to continue!!

It is also not possible that users with level 1 therefore newly registered only to comment and discredit, this is allowed to protect the maker.

Given that the reports are efficient in fits and starts.
By the way, I’ve been carrying this problem around for a long time and if you don’t give the creator the opportunity to delete inappropriate messages, it’s appropriate to at least implement this function.
I reported and opened tickets, but I still don’t receive answers and solutions and I don’t think it’s right that in order to delete troll comments, I have to delete a model and then republish it, especially now that there is an exclusive program that would also subtract points when the model is deleted.

I would like more protection. Thanks!
If possible, someone from support could contact me privately, I’ve already reported my problem several times!

You do realise you want to blanket a solution on users that have no dog in your plight.

I have always disagreed with any solution that punishes the many for the actions of a few, even more so when there’s a rating system involved. Imagine being one that downloads occasiionally and is prevented from rating or asking a question just because he/she is Lvl 1.

I’m lvl 30, I could make socks and insult you day in and day out. You have an issue with a user, not the system.

It sucks, I get it. The only thing you can do is report. Youre feeding the troll by giving them attention. Believe it or not most people can tell the difference between a genuine review/complaint and a troll post. Report and move on. Deleting and reuploading could get you in trouble as well.

Get a thicker skin, report and move on. Don’t feed trolls.

And what would the punishment of other users consist of? We are not talking about press evaluations here but about spam comments or insults or even out of place from the model and/or discredit. Preventing the improper use of new accounts is a very normal practice on many websites, especially for accounts created specifically to create problems. And the fact that I brought this to light does not mean that it is only my problem.

If a person with level 1 needs information, private messages exist! Requesting help is not prevented!

Furthermore, it is useful for eliminating that multitude of fake accounts!
It is useless to report, the assistance does not work and is not up to par.

Preventing a user of level 1 or 3 from commenting, I do not see it as so tragic, because if a user is truly active, in less than a day he can easily get to level 5 and print files, but if he is just a troll, he will lose the desire to create 20 accounts in a short time.

I repeat, the support is not up to par at the moment and I also do not let stupid comments and even spam slide under my models, after I spend time creating a model and a decent presentation.

Under the models, you can talk about the model, but not about insults, offenses, defamations, spam, or how beautiful the day is, for that there are other channels such as private messages or the forum.
Think if I started talking under one of your models about this topic, you report it and no one does anything, after which an unmanageable flame is created.

The levels must be used for this and it also happens in the forums since forever

You could do it as a level 30 user who would behave like this, you would lose credibility and damage your profile.

No, you’re just assuming that all Lvl 1 are out to get someone right? Inconvenience them so you wouldn’t have to worry about being trolled. How do you know which accounts are “created specifically to create problems”?

Or, they could simply leave a comment. Simple and as it is now.

What proof do you have of this? Because you say so?

I disagree. Perhaps it doesn’t work fast enough for you? One of the few things that’s worked well from my perspective.

Don’t twist words or put them in my mouth. I never said it was (or implied it was) tragic. Again, you’re trying to limit what others can do based on what you feel.

Apparently not YOUR troll.

Please state where in the policy is this mentioned? Where is it forbidden in the rules? Point it out specifically and I’ll be happy to agree.

Nope, feel free. I can count on no hands how much of a …well let’s say I don’t care. At all. Go ahead.

The forum requires you to read. You can’t create a topic but you can reply to any topic.

Tell me you don’t know me without saying you don’t know me.
I don’t care about credibility or damage to my profile. Hell, I feel like trolling you now.

I don’t understand your annoyance and what problem it can create for you, but that’s okay, everyone has their own beliefs.
I keep repeating that @makerworld should do something about this problem, or even do better, since you mentioned it, even against senseless or “retaliatory” evaluations.

From your answers it seems that this topic is very annoying for you, but I only had to look at the photos of your exclusive models to understand many things. Good luck.

Do not feel obliged to answer me again because your opinion does not interest me and borders on trolling. Hello and thanks for your intervention, I prefer the answer of someone more serious or of @makerworld

Go ahead and troll, in the meantime I’ll block your comments, I’m not interested and your attitude shows what kind of person you are (including your models)

you laugh, you laugh

Then I laugh

lol, I’m sure star wars stands do say a lot about me. Good.

So if someone disagrees with you it’s trolling? I can see why some get under your skin easily.

I’m very serious. Again, I guess because you don’t like the answer I give you call it trolling. Do you want to prevent me from being able to speak now?

Edit. Little birds told me this cat got called out for taking a 2d file for laser cutting and put it up here in 3d, got called out. Apparently the seller made a trip to Makerworld to call him out. These are the trolls he claims are bothering him.

Your proposed “solutions” are blanket penalty for users who did nothing wrong in order to solve “problem” which looks like you uniquely have. You seem to have attracted a nemesis. That’s very unique situation to have. I’d wager that among all level 1-5 users that would be hit by your proposed “solution” there’s less than 1% malicious and even less of those are fresh accounts made solely to troll.

This is another wrong idea that give way too much power to the creator. While this would help you and people in such unique situation as you, it would also greatly benefit creators putting out “slop” from being called out in the comments and perhaps saving other users from falling victim to deceptive images and descriptions.

Incorrect - according to my recent experience users with level below 7 cannot use private messages and THAT was made most likely to prevent worse problems.

Sure, like even this forum uses a software that has user trust system which is I’d say very sane and balanced.

The ONLY actual solution side mentioned by you here would be more “mods” working on creator reports.

side note: Given your mentioning of not letting “stupid” and “spam” “slide” I do wonder whether you got marked as “ACDNE” by mods/support for overreporting…

What’s worse is he is trying to keep the fact he took someones files quiet. Seems one of his models blew up when someone realized he took SVG files from Etsy and just extruded them to 3D, apparently claiming they were his. Allegedly, I haven’t witnessed this but I have no reason to doubt.

I’m guessing he wanted those comments removed, as the model was doing well. The seller (maybe creator) came by from Etsy, made an account, and voiced a thought or two. This would be why he wants Lvl 1 or so prevented from commenting. If he takes files from others they wouldn’t be able to call him out.

Again, I have been told this. I won’t say by who because it came through PM.

Would be handy to see some examples of said comments.

I’ve yet to see hardly any inappropriate messages on peoples models.

Taking from Etsy to post here is kind of novel since usually those folks go the other way. :joy::rofl::joy::rofl:

Bowing back out of this one. Just thought that was kind of funny…

He apparently made it private or deleted it. If the profiles right that is.

Profile removed until confirmation.

You can’t even find the right account :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: To prove that I’m not the only one

You’re probably trolling that user too

I can accept being wrong about the profile. Share yours just to be sure.

I’m looking for this file, any idea where to find it? I know it’s available on Etsy but I can’t find it for some reason here anymore. Any clue?

So you come trolling under my models too? No thanks.

I think everyone here will tell you I don’t troll. I don’t care for trolls and I’m not about to be one for several reasons.

One is I don’t have the energy. I don’t care enough about you to put effort into making ■■■■ posts. Eventually alll those that need to be called out will call themselves out.

Now what I see, is not that you think I’m going to troll. I am thinking that’s the right profile and you worry that if you admit it, there could be other issues.

I don’t really care about that, but IF I am falsely accusing someone I’d like to fix that. Obviously I can’t take your word for it so, please share so I can rectify my mistake if I made one.

If it IS your account, than fine. However you’d owe me an apology. I have done nothing to you other than reply to your post, point out flaws in the thinking, and then shown why you would want such a thing. You have insulted me, accused me of being a troll, and now telling a lie. I have not trolled you, have no intention. I have done nothing to earn an insult, and I’m trying find out if I’m mistaken. If so I’ll aplogize.

You have an fairly large web presence and have even posted links to your models on other sites here. Do the trolls only harass you on Makerworld?

And where do you see my large presence? That is not my account and I certainly do not publish it here, since I have irritated several trolls with my proposal

Hold on. You don’t publish here? If so then how are you being trolled? What account are you using on MW that is being trolled?

You’ve posted links yourself in your previous posts:
