I have a simple two colour job with 1 or two colour changes
I have enabled prime tower and disabled, flush into fill or support
but the prime tower isnt showing up. is there a way to place it manualy?
using generic petg with Engineering plate. X1C
Hello
Yes you can use the prime tower only but you do have to add 2 or more filaments so the prime tower will show up on the bed and yes you can move the prime tower to your seam location.
I am using two colours and still no prime tower
Switching from white to black once at a certain height
I just tested it on my end with Bambu Studio and Orca slicer and it’s working.
Do you have the current software versions ?
Can you test it on a cube and see if it works the file you have might have errors ?
Can you post a photo of your project ?
Keep us updated
try with only a single change. white → black
not white > Black > White
I am using latest firmware and latest Bambu Slicer
try my file
switching colours using range modifier
Thanks for the file
Ok this will fix it right click split to part add your black top color back and it should work for you.
hmm still not working for me
also I gave you the wrong file. I have them all connected
here it is
Still working for me but I did not have to split to part.
What slicer and version #
What happen if you do just one part ?
I tried it as well… with Range Height Modifier and coloring that part it does not work.
With cutting the model or with ‘change filament’ on layerheight (which would be the easiest way instead of the range height modifier in this case) the prime tower shows up.
Honestly, if it would be only a color change on a certain layer height in my opinion is overkill But as the slicer shows the 2 colors, I would expect it a but - would be interesting digging into the GCode if the color change is really there or it is only a GUI error
Also you can do this with out a prime tower being it’s only the top layer anyways.
prefer with prime tower as it catched nozzle build up. I can add a block manually if needed
yes Change at layer height works.
but range doesnt… werid
Well the good news is you have a working solution now
I did not see your post on switching colors using range modifier
Have a good one
Thanks for looking into it
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I’ve been trying to find out for the past 15 minutes how I can create a new thread in this forum. I need to ask a new question about Bambu Studio. I just cannot find any button or link to post something new. Only reply to existing threads. I am logged in (as evidenced by me writing this reply). Any advice?
