Print coming out looking like a birds nest

I’ve been printing with the X1C for the past 11 months with great success. Out of the blue, my printer has been printing irregularly…th past 5 prints have come out looking like a birds nest…the 1st layer comers out great, after the 2nd or 3rd layer it begins to spider web/bird nest out.

I’ve run all the calibration tests I can that are installed on the X1C . I’ve run the dynamic flow calibration and the extrusion calibration, no issues with either. I haven’t changed any of the print profiles, I’m running Bambu lab filament.

Ive also bought a filament dryer because i thought that might be the answer…however after drying out the filament for 12 hours and having a “1” wetness rating in my AMS, i suspect it isn’t wet filament either. Could it be my belts? I’m enclosing 3 pics of the printed object from the last attempt

Welcome to the forum.

It’s either a partially clogged nozzle or the thermal paste is drying out.

You might want to check out this post as it looks like a similar issue.

John you are awesome! I appreciate that! After taking off my hotend, I’m realizing that if it’s not the thermal grease, it’s definitely time for a new hotend (mine looks terrible lol, I didn’t know it was that bad under that sleeve.
