Print from AMS but also allow for easy manual spools?

Hi everyone,

Just recently got myself a X1C and an AMS which I am really happy about. Now I know that AMS can’t support all materials you need to use the manual feed and I got some spools of TPU that I would like to use. Is there a way to still have an AMS plugged in an connected with PTFE tubes but also to allow simple manual feed-in of filaments from a spool next to the printer without needing to plug or unplug anything? I plant to add another AMS unit in the near future as well.

Thank you

You could try something like these:

  1. Instant Y-Splitter for Bambu AMS X1C P1S P1P Remixed by OurAngryBadger - MakerWorld
  2. The Smoothy - Y Splitter Connector by JDJDJD - MakerWorld with The Smoothy Mount - For The Smoothy Y Splitter by JDJDJD - MakerWorld

There are loads more if you look in Categories - MakerWorld

Hi!
If you get the bambulab ams hub (for a second ams) you have 4 ptfe tube entries.
Using two for the two ams’s, you can add a short 3rd ptfe tube to feed the TPU filament manually from a freestanding filament reel holder….
Works well!
